I am so sorry to hear that Dragon. Qunicy was a very lucky kitten to come across you that day, you and your family have been wonderful. I will keep my fingers and everything else crossed for a speedy recovery for Quincey.

This is a video I made of him 2 days before he got sick. So far no change in his condition and still at a 50/50 chance to survive. Diarrhea has set in and not sure if that is from the virus or the feeding solution. Carotid main line was placed in him this evening for fluids and blood draws, his little veins are taking a beating. They are not going to do many more blood draws as his body isn't producing enough blood the way it is. Slight anemia has also set in do to the lack of blood production. My heart grows heavier and heavier every day that passes.......

Doc called this am and his white blood count is over 48,000 HOLY COW!!!! Not only is he recovering but his body is building immunity as well. He may get to come home Tuesday evening, we are out of the woods and going to recover! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

He's home!!!!!

Has to be quarantined to 1 room for 6 weeks as he is still shedding the virus and we don't want his brothers to become infected. I have gotten Tyvek disposable suits to us to wear when we visit him through out the day and nitral gloves to wear and dispose of too. Once he is given the clean bill of health we will scrub the room top to bottom with a mild bleach solution. Anyway enough of that here he is at the hospital before we got him. More will follow over the nest few days...

Andrea the 4th year medical student who is just an AWESOME person. She was on the case from day 1 to the end and called us 3-5 times a day with updates to his condition. Thumbs up to a GREAT up and coming Veterinarian.
